Skilled artisans pour their heart and soul into creating one stunning artwork after another, but with the arrival of turbulent times, their fates face unprecedented shocks. He Yansheng (played by Chen Baoguo) and Ye Dingsan (played by Zhao Jun) are two distinguished porcelain-making masters from Fenglingzhai. It is said that colleagues often belittle each other, leading to mutual resentment, which troubles the two families’ young lovers, He Qing (played by Yin Xiaotian) and Ye Feixia (played by Li Xiaoran), especially as the legendary Dragon and Phoenix plate draws their families into life-and-death conflicts. Amidst the chaos of warlord strife and the Japanese invasion of China, He Qing and his brother He Chen embark on different life paths, while the woman, Ye Feixia, also writes a history of female self-empowerment amid the turbulent tides.
