Intro： Blood in the Mountain ForestThe Cangshan Mountains are vast, and the sea of clouds is wide. The sun filters through the dense leaves, casting mottled light spots onto the mountains and forests. A hunting rifle is aimed at a wolf by the creek. As one wolf gradually becomes a pack, Tian Da, behind the rifle, gasps and once again returns empty-handed. Since the invasion by the Japanese, Tian Da has been hiding in the deep mountains with his wife Cui'er and their infant son, living off hunting. But when the howl of the mother wolf and the cries of Tian Da's son Guiwa echoed in the mountains, the cub chose to return to the wolf pack, reluctantly disappearing into the forest. Soon, Tian Da’s quiet hunting life was shattered by the arrival of three Japanese special soldiers—Song Xin, Xiao Ye, and Sasaki. The young wolf cub also became the meal of Song Xin and the others. Eager to escape the mountains, Tian Da's family was captured as 'guides.' However, while Tian Da was forced to find food for Song Xin, the wolf pack, bereft of the cub, continually launched retaliatory attacks on the three Japanese soldiers. Song Xin almost lost his life to the wolves, and Xiao Ye, after being subdued by Tian Da, was torn to pieces by them. When Tian Da discovered that his wife Cui'er had been ravaged by Song Xin and died in a pool of blood, his previously submissive and fearful mindset was overtaken by extreme rage, and he recklessly lunged at Song Xin and Sasaki. In the struggle against Song Xin and Sasaki, with his son Guiwa held hostage by Song Xin, Tian Da was again forced to compromise. On the way out of the mountains, as they passed a ridge, Tian Da finally found an opportunity to resist. However, as Guiwa rolled down the ridge, Tian Da unhesitatingly lunged at Song Xin. At this critical moment, the wolf pack was summoned by Guiwa's cry, leading to Song Xin’s demise in the jaws of the wolves, while the cunning Sasaki paid the price for his inhuman aggression with his life. The once silent forest regained tranquility after the bloody events; with a hoarse voice, Tian Da called for his Guiwa, who was being carried away by the wolf pack to be protected in the mountains.
