Intro： The Spring of the Red MansionJia Baoyu (played by Leslie Cheung) is the only male heir of the Jia family. Meanwhile, the forsaken Daiyu, believing she has been abandoned, is heartbroken and dies. Grief-stricken, Baoyu defies his family's objections, shaves his head to become a monk, and ultimately enters the Buddhist path.
