Intro： Battle BookThe film tells the story of Officer Shockley (played by Clint Eastwood) — an upright but unappreciated police officer. He takes on an important case to escort a key witness, Morley, to Phoenix to testify in a drug case. However, on their way back to Phoenix, they are pursued in a series of chases and discover that the police in Phoenix are colluding with a gang to eliminate the witness.
