Intro： Chat Records: New Volume of Lustful Tales, Chapter Five - The Five Spirits.This film is divided into five stories: "The Curse of the Palm Offerings" tells of a mother who, in order to evade legal responsibility, sends her son to a remote temple to become an ascetic. The young man follows the masters to a mountain village, where the master tells him about the local custom of using palm thrones to worship hungry ghosts. Initially skeptical, the young man ultimately discovers that the master was indeed correct. "The Ghostly Patient in the Same Room" features a young man who suffers a fracture from a car accident and has no choice but to stay in a multi-bed ward to recuperate. However, there are only two people in the ward: himself and an elderly man who is brain dead. As night falls, the elderly man suddenly rises and attacks the young man. "The Fugitive Backpackers" follows a young couple from Japan as they travel through Thailand and manage to stop a stuffy truck. Halfway through their journey, they hear continuous knocking from the back of the truck, heralding the onset of a nightmare. "The Haunted Used Car" depicts a female owner of a used car dealership who frequently renovates and sells cars that have been in accidents for profit. One night, her son, Xiao De, goes missing while playing in the dealership, and strange, terrifying events begin to transpire. "The Frightening Shoot on Set" narrates a film crew working on "Conjoined Shadows 2," when the actress playing the ghost, Xiao Gen Mei, suddenly faints on set, and the staff rush to take her to the hospital. Just as the crew worries about the filming schedule, Xiao Gen Mei returns to the set.
