After a chaotic incident, Shubao (played by Wang Ge) goes 'missing,' and Yu Zui 'accidentally kills' the person who kidnapped Shubao. It is only when Yu Zui is imprisoned that he realizes he has been deceived, and he becomes close friends with his cellmate Fu Guosheng (played by Zhang Jincheng). After joining the special police force and becoming an undercover agent, Yu Zui successfully approaches Fu Guosheng and others. Fu Guosheng sends Yu Zui to be near Zheng Chao (played by Du Yingwei). Zheng Chao uses Yu Zui for drug trafficking without him knowing the full details, and during a transaction, Yu Zui destroys a signal jammer, raising suspicions with the drug dealers and getting shot. Yu Zui is saved by Jiao Tao (played by Yu Xiao), and his survival makes Zheng Chao uneasy. Yu Zui plans to exploit the rift between Fu Guosheng and Zheng Chao to eliminate Zheng Chao, while Zheng Chao aims to use the police to get rid of Yu Zui.
