This film is a sequel to 'Bad Boys', and the story still takes place in Miami. The drug trade in Miami has suddenly become rampant overnight, and conflicts between various drug trafficking organizations are continuous. In order to investigate the deep-seated conflicts within these drug trafficking groups, Miami Police Department's 'golden' duo, suave Larry (Will Smith) and quirky Benner (Martin Lawrence), are once again called to action. During the police's operation to besiege these drug trafficking groups, a DEA female undercover agent, Sidney (Gabrielle Union), is taken hostage by the drug dealers. Their demand is that Larry and Benner must engage in illegal activities, which poses a dilemma for them, as the beautiful Sidney is not only Benner's younger sister but also Larry's lover.
