This film is a sequel to 'Bad Boys', and the story still takes place in Miami. The drug trade in Miami has suddenly become rampant overnight, and conflicts between various drug trafficking organizations are continuous. In order to investigate the deep-seated conflicts within these drug trafficking groups, Miami Police Department's 'golden' duo, suave Larry (Will Smith) and quirky Benner (Martin Lawrence), are once again called into action. Soon, the two figure out the ins and outs of the situation: an external drug trafficking force is infiltrating the Miami drug market, led by an ambitious drug lord who aims to control the drug trade across the whole of America and even Europe, establishing a drug empire. During the police's operation to besiege these drug trafficking organizations, a DEA female undercover agent, Sidney (Gabrielle Union), is taken hostage by the drug dealers. Their demand is that Larry and Benner must engage in illegal activities, which poses a dilemma for them, as the beautiful Sidney is not only Benner's younger sister but also Larry's lover.
