In Melbourne, Australia, Chinese chef Jacky (played by Jackie Chan) is a well-known figure, regularly hosting cooking shows on television. The drug lord Kim Carlo (played by Richard Norton) has a powerful group, and Kim Carlo himself is brutal and cold-hearted. After eliminating the undercover agents of rival gangs, he leads his followers into a fierce gunfight in a warehouse, which is all recorded by journalist Diana (played by Gabrielle Fitzpatrick). After a tough street fight, Jacky manages to escape. However, Kim Carlo's rival gang captures Mei Qi and threatens Jacky to exchange the tape for her. This leads to a chaotic battle between Jacky, the police, and the two criminal groups, all centered around the recording tape.
