In 2023, the new government in the United States implemented the "Human Purge Plan," entering its sixth year. This extreme and misguided policy aimed to suppress the rising unemployment and crime rates, but during this time, more and more innocent people were being killed, while the wealthy enjoyed their drinks, fat and content, participating in the annual slaughter fest in a seemingly noble and elegant manner. Just before the massacre begins, a couple on the verge of breaking up, Shane (played by Zach Gilford) and Liz (played by Kiele Sanchez), find themselves stranded on the road and frantically looking for shelter.
