In Boston, a beloved pastor is mysteriously murdered, with bullets piercing through his skull, resulting in a gruesome death, rumored to be the work of an executioner. The case is still handled by police officers Greenlee, Duffy, and Dougherty, but they are at a loss. Fortunately, the wise and alluring FBI agent Eunice Bloom (played by Julie Benz) unravels the executioner's murder methods. Due to a bloodbath in Boston a decade ago, fraternal twins Connor (played by Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (played by Norman Reedus) have been living in seclusion in the Irish countryside with their leader father, Noah (played by Billy Connolly). Once this case emerges, the brothers shave their heads and vow to come out of retirement. Along the way, they recruit a Mexican named Romeo (played by Clifton Collins Jr.), who uses his clever mind and outstanding fighting skills to defeat towering opponents.
