In this drama, South Korea has transformed into a constitutional monarchy. Recently, as the emperor's health deteriorates, to fulfill his father's wishes, high school student Crown Prince Lee Shin (played by Ju Ji-hoon) agrees with the Empress Dowager to marry the girl he was previously betrothed to as soon as possible.
