The co-pilot of the international airline, Shin Haiyuan (played by Takuya Kimura), has always dreamed of becoming a captain. During a flight returning to Japan from Honolulu, Captain Mizushima suddenly feels unwell and is unable to continue piloting. In this moment of crisis, due to Shin Hai's calm judgment, the plane lands safely. However, for his negligence, Shin Hai faces severe reprimands from prosecutor Koda Kazuki (played by Tatsuya Fujiwara) and dissatisfaction from female mechanic Okawa Ayumi (played by Yu Shirota). However, the stern Koda still upholds a clear sense of reward and punishment and imposes a one-week grounding on Shin Hai for violating regulations, which he finds unsatisfactory.
