The blind war correspondent Sara (played by Michelle Monaghan) lives with her boyfriend on the top floor of an apartment building. One day, after returning home as usual, she is unaware that danger is quietly approaching. Her boyfriend is actually a thief who has just pulled off a big job with his accomplices, but he takes the cash and diamonds and flees while his accomplices are unguarded, thus bringing about his own doom. By the time Sara feels her boyfriend's corpse, it is already too late. An accomplice of the intruding thieves (played by Barry Sloane) takes control of Sara, threatening and coercing her to reveal the location of the stolen goods. However, it is clear that this man underestimates the blind girl before him; the harsh tests and brutal experiences on the battlefield have already forged her resilient will. In just a few rounds, Sara manages to escape from him.
