The leader of the Yan Jia Sect, Zhuang Qín, exterminated the Heavenly Machine Sect to seize the "Mechanical Heart," but failed to find its whereabouts. Twenty years later, Zhuang Qín decided to lure the public with a bounty to provide clues about the "Mechanical Heart." The protagonist, San Chi, is deeply passionate about invention and creation and admires the Yan Jia Sect greatly. He originally intended to search for the "Mechanical Heart," but was forced by his adoptive uncle Jiu Shu to go to Lu Jia Village to dig a well. San Chi accidentally discovers that Luo Er, a descendant of the Lu family, is guarding the secret of the "Mechanical Heart" in the village. After many twists and turns, San Chi obtains the "Mechanical Heart." Zhuang Qín leads the Yan Jia Sect to attack Lu Jia Village, and San Chi hands over the "Mechanical Heart" to Zhuang Qín in hopes of exchanging it for the villagers' safety. However, after receiving the "Mechanical Heart," Zhuang Qín orders his men to mercilessly slaughter the villagers. Jiu Shu transforms into the Nine-Faced Craftsman and fights to stop the Yan Jia Sect's attack but damages the "Mechanical Heart" in the process. Zhuang Qín returns with a mysterious master and severely injuries Jiu Shu, leaving Lu Jia Village in grave danger. The fate of everyone rests on San Chi, who is powerless; how will he reverse this dire situation...
