During the chaotic warlord era at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, there emerged a group known as the "Huaiyou Army," notorious for their cannibalism, particularly their preference for eating the flesh of children. The small town of Lintang, located near the Huai River, suffered greatly from their actions. One night, the Huaiyou Army trapped in Lintang devoured all the infants in the town. After the war calmed down, during the Republic of China era, a witchcraft practice called "summoning infant spirits" became popular in Lintang. However, those who raised these infant spirits often met unfortunate ends. A descendant of the cannibalistic Huaiyou Army, Meng Shaohui (played by Zhu Yilong), accidentally walks into the town and stubbornly decides to unveil the seal that suppresses the evil spirits. Soon after, terrifying phenomena begins to frequently occur in the ancient town, and those involved in the events start to die one by one. It seems that a mysterious force is guarding some secret from the past...
