Every year, restaurant owner Max (played by François Cluzet) invites his friends to vacation at his seaside villa, but this year's holiday is shadowed by a serious car accident involving Ludo (played by Jean Dujardin). To alleviate their sadness, the friends decide to go to the seaside as usual. Vincent (played by Benoît Magimel) is in a heavy mood; he realizes that his feelings for his gay friend Max have intensified over time to a point where he can no longer hide them, but the fact is, they are both married with children. Marie (played by Marion Cotillard) is not in an easy position either; she is surrounded by a group of men she does not like, while she is truly in love with her ex-boyfriend Ludo, who is currently lying in a hospital bed at the brink of death, and to complicate matters, she discovers she is pregnant at this critical moment. Anthony (played by Laurent Lafitte), a man usually confident in his charm, finds himself in a situation of infidelity. Although he appears open-minded, he cannot help but repeatedly question his partner about why she has abandoned him. Everyone wants to briefly forget their troubles at this peaceful seaside, but worries are cunningly ever-present in their battered lives, so as adults, they have to weave little, kind white lies for each other.
