In 1995, Colonel Tevis (played by Steven Seagal) led a rescue operation for the Anti-Terrorism Special Operations Group, but it ended in failure... Ten days later, a 747 passenger plane flying from Athens to Washington was hijacked by Abu Ya'far's deputy, Antar, who demanded the U.S. government release Abu Ya'far. David was tasked with resolving the crisis; he pointed out that the terrorists intended to use a gas bomb to attack the U.S. mainland, so the plane could not be allowed to enter.
