The legendary thief Black Lizard (played by Akihiro Maruyama) issues a statement, announcing that he will kidnap Iwasaki's daughter Sanae (played by Kikko Matsumoto) as a hostage, demanding the Egyptian Star in exchange. With no options left, Iwasaki hires the renowned detective Kogoro Akechi (played by Isao Kimura) at a high salary to protect his daughter. However, when the scheduled time arrives, Black Lizard does not appear; instead, he has already disguised himself as Lady Midorikawa to get close to Sanae and abduct her. Kogoro continues to pursue and engages in a battle of wits with Black Lizard. When a legendary thief encounters a famous detective, who will ultimately prevail...
