Jackie's (played by Kate Dickie) job is to monitor the 'City's Eye' system from the control room, quietly watching over the people in the night through the city's extensive camera network. This silent work mirrors Jackie's current life: after losing her husband, she maintains a barely-there relationship with her indifferent lover, minimal communication with her colleagues, and distant parents, all reflecting her frozen emotions. One night, a figure that appears on the camera shatters Jackie's peaceful state of mind. She begins to observe this man named Clyde Henderson (played by Tony Curran) throughout her days, tracking Clyde's interactions with those around him, even going to Clyde's residence on 'Red Road'—an apartment complex housing several ex-convicts—and infiltrating his home. Why does Clyde capture Jackie's attention? What happened between them in the past?
