Modern White Snake's Beautiful Tale: The new movie "The Beautiful Tale of the New Su Nu" features Bai She (Bai Suzhen, played by Chen Beiqi) who has been trapped under the Leifeng Pagoda by Monk Fahai (Yang Zelin) for nearly a thousand years but finally manages to escape. She arrives in a modern metropolis to seek her beloved Xu Xian (Fu Weiqi) and her close confidante and maid, the little green snake Xiao Qing (Qiu Yuru). Monk Fahai, unwilling to let Bai She escape, also tracks her down to the modern city, aiming to capture her. To evade Monk Fahai's pursuit and magical tricks, Bai Suzhen nearly loses her life but eventually finds her friends, the successful Xiao Qing and Xu Xian, in the modern city. However, after thousands of reincarnations, they have forgotten their past lives, and modern Xu Xian's girlfriend Baobao (Xu Baofeng) and Xiao Qing's boyfriend begin to suspect something is amiss. They enlist the help of Xiao Qing's sister (Yu Zhiwei) and a medium (Shao Yinyin) to divine Bai Suzhen's identity, and upon confirmation of the truth, everyone rejoices at the reunion. Fortunately, the medium comes to the rescue and persuades Monk Fahai to immigrate to Hong Kong, avoiding a return to the oppressive old feudal society, allowing their love to bloom and completing this touching and poignant tale of love across time.
