However, they lurk within all organizations around the world and continue to operate secretly in modern times, with an estimated population of about 200,000. Yet, grassroots ninjas often struggle to find work. One of them, Kuroko Natsumi (played by Kento Yamazaki), is a low-ranking ninja affiliated with the 'NIN' organization, living a life akin to that of a freeloader. One day, feeling bored, he is assigned a significant 'ninja task,' which is to investigate the movements of an underground organization that has been lurking since the end of the war over 70 years ago, known as the 'Underground Ninjas.'
