Mizuru Bantan (played by Masami Nagasawa) works as an assistant in a beauty salon and often faces criticism from her colleagues. When she returns home, she has to deal with a mother who drinks too much and brings men home. For her, life is a mess. So when her boyfriend, Soichi Kawai (played by Ryo Nishikido), asks her to live together, she agrees with hopes for the future. While shopping for household items for their new home, she is unaware of Ruka Akimoto's (played by Juri Ueno) watchful gaze behind her. In an attempt to catch up with Mizuru taking the bus, Ruka accidentally bumps into Takezumi Mizushima (played by Eita), who has been noticing her in the home goods store. Ruka and Mizuru were high school classmates, and Ruka harbors an unspoken secret. After catching up with Mizuru, the two share a joyful reunion. Now, Ruka lives in a share house with her friend Eri, and when she hears Mizuru happily narrating her plans to live with her boyfriend, a complex emotion crosses Ruka's face. However, happiness does not come to Mizuru easily. Soichi, being jealous and sensitive, checks Mizuru's phone messages, mistakenly believing that Ruka is a man, and he violently confronts Mizuru. In her instinctual reaction, Mizuru calls Ruka for help. Ruka brings her back to the share house, only to find that Takezumi is also about to join SH. Four young people gather under one roof, filled with hope for the future while carrying their own problems, ready to enact a life drama that none of them could predict.
