This is a supernatural-themed youth drama, telling the story of a young woman who is hired by a top-secret government organization to participate in a supernatural research project. Emma Ishta plays the lead character, Kirsten Clark, who is smart but socially awkward and suffers from a rare condition. She has no emotions and does not experience 'the passage of time.' She is a computer whiz with extraordinary hacking skills. She could have earned an advanced degree in computer science... but she got into trouble for exposing her roommate's affair with the teaching professor. The U.S. government recognized her unique skills and selected her to participate in a highly classified research project. In Kirsten's own words, this project involves 'invading the brains of the dead and reading their memories.' She handles this seemingly frightening and unpredictable work with ease, which even surprises her.
