The mysterious African nation of Wakanda, with its advanced technology derived from Vibranium from outer space, has long remained closed off and kept this secret from the outside world. After the death of the former king in a United Nations bombing, Prince T'Challa (played by Chadwick Boseman) ascends to the throne, also as the new Black Panther. After his coronation, T'Challa, along with his ex-girlfriend Nakia (played by Lupita Nyong'o) and his bodyguard Okoye (played by Danai Gurira), investigates Ulysses Klaue (played by Andy Serkis), who previously stole Vibranium and murdered Wakandans.
