TV program producer Becky Fuller (played by Rachel McAdams) has recently experienced a streak of bad luck; not only was she fired, but she also broke up with her boyfriend. However, things took a turn for the better when she was offered a position on the 'Morning Show', a national morning news talk show. While it seemed like Becky was in for a lucky break, the reality was quite different. The show's ratings had been plummeting and it was essentially a hot potato that was handed to Becky. Stubborn and unwilling to give up, Becky decided to initiate a major overhaul of the show. She resolved to invite the legendary host Mike Pomeroy (played by Harrison Ford), regardless of the cost. However, the difficult Mike was not easily persuaded, and he had many grievances about current news programs. After much effort, Becky finally convinced Mike to reluctantly become a key figure in the show's restructuring. But new challenges arose when Mike was paired with co-host Colleen Peck (played by Diane Keaton), whose style was completely different from his. Tensions escalated between the two, leaving Becky caught in the middle...
