The story begins in the spring of 1927, when the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party was achieving victory, and the National Revolutionary Army was sweeping away the warlords of the Beiyang government. The Great Revolution failed. In this moment of extreme crisis, the Communists displayed unparalleled revolutionary heroism.
