The story is set in Japan during the Edo period. Fuu is a waitress at a small tea house. Subsequently, Muhan and Jin encounter each other in the tea house and engage in combat, but suddenly a great fire traps them both, leading to their capture. In anger over the death of his son in the fire, the local official orders their execution by beheading. On the execution day, the two create chaos at the execution ground and, with Fuu's help, they escape. As a price for her help, Fuu demands they seek a samurai who carries the scent of sunflowers.
