Charlotte Myers is a writer and relationship expert from Chicago. This idea emerged after a conflict with wilderness guide Rob Wilson, who agreed to be her full-time coach solely because he needed quick cash. Rob co-owns a wilderness business in northern Minnesota with his friends Mike and Tina Albert. He despises people like Charlotte—privileged urbanites who show no interest in experiencing nature besides taking selfies outdoors—yet they are the primary source of income for the business. After overcoming their initial hostility, Charlotte and Rob find themselves surprised by each other's nature, to the extent that they start to fall in love as long as they are willing to open their hearts. Their intended happy ending and Charlotte’s new friendship with the Alberts are threatened by her professional obligations as she needs to manage how Jane and the television station promote her new brand.
