"The television movie 'The Pursuit of Justice' starring Huang Rihua describes a righteous social worker who is innocently embroiled in a murder vortex and is forced to flee for his life. The story is suspenseful and tense, yet full of warmth. Social worker Lin Weida (played by Huang Rihua) gets involved in a murder case while trying to save a troubled girl and is wrongly convicted and imprisoned due to lack of evidence. While being escorted to Lantau Island prison, he encounters a gang that attacks them, resulting in the death of agent Zhang Lixing's (played by Qian Jiale) brother during the chaos, leading to Lin being falsely accused of murder once again. The repeated misunderstandings leave Lin unable to defend himself, forcing him to escape and search for the real killer. A group of young gang members he used to mentor cannot bear to see him suffer and generously help him flee. Lin's wife, Lyu Jieling (played by Xuan Xuan), grows more distant from him over time, and during Lin's misfortune, they finally part ways. The young gang members come up with a clever plan to arrange a reunion between Lin and Jieling. Upon their unexpected meeting, they gain new feelings and mutual understanding, with Jieling determined to work together with her husband to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Zhang Lixing closes in, putting Lin and Jieling in a desperate situation once again…"
