Whenever she comes across a charming little restaurant, she lifts the curtain and walks in to settle down, carefully observing the day's recommended menu before pondering what beverages to pair with her meal. After a tiring day, dishes like salt-grilled salmon, tofu casserole, tamago yaki (Japanese egg omelet), orange vinegar fish liver, sake, and sashimi are served one after another. Wakako's time of delectable food and fine wine is something that viewers at home might as well enjoy too. This film is adapted from the original manga by Chiyoko Shinjo.
