When Graham returns to his hometown after many years, he has nothing but a car and these videotapes. Thus, he temporarily stays at his classmate John's house. John (played by Peter Gallagher) is a successful man who has been having an affair with his wife Ann's (played by Andie MacDowell) sister, Cynthia, while completely neglecting his wife. While accompanying Graham to look for a rental house, Ann engages in a long conversation about sex at a restaurant, admitting that she doesn't place much importance on her sex life, while Graham reveals his secret: he is impotent. Ann accidentally discovers Graham's videotapes featuring various women and, troubled by her husband's indifference, decides to film herself as well.
