On a snowy winter's day in Kobe, Japan, Watanabe Hiroko (Miho Nakayama) is once again overwhelmed with grief on the second anniversary of her late fiancé Fujii Takagi's death. Unable to suppress her longing for her deceased lover, she discovers Fujii Takagi's address when looking through her junior high school yearbook and sends a letter she thought would reach him in heaven. Not long after, Watanabe Hiroko receives a reply signed 'Fujii Takagi (Miki Sakai)'. Upon further understanding, she learns that this Fujii Takagi is a girl of a similar age who was a classmate of her boyfriend Fujii Takagi (Taka a Kaburaki) during his youth. To learn more about her late love during his school days, Watanabe Hiroko begins corresponding with this female Fujii Takagi. In the process of reminiscing, Fujii Takagi gradually discovers that the boy she shared the same name with during her youth had harbored feelings for her.
