The greedy tycoon Luo Yiwan (played by Wang Qing) is plotting a murder, but evidence of his conspiracy is secretly recorded. A spy throws the recording into the car of reporter A Miao (played by Zheng Wenya), but A Miao is unaware of this. To search for his father, Luo Jianlang (played by Tan Yonglin) illegally arrives in Hong Kong but is mistaken for the son of Luo Yiwan due to his resemblance.
