A year after Yashiko's re-employment, it is the autumn of 2019, and Yashiko is in Osaka, while Miyuki is in Tokyo, the two living apart. Yashiko remains sharp and capable at a large consulting firm, performing exceptionally well, showing no signs of the 10-year gap. Meanwhile, Miyuki, now a university student, remains lovable and headstrong. She spends her days engaged in club activities or part-time jobs, feeling very fulfilled.
