During this time, she encounters a 7-year-old girl named Rin Nan (played by Mana Ashida). Rin has a unique way of thinking and is cheerful, but she has no friends. She grows up in a single-parent family, where her mother lives with her boyfriend, leading a desolate and broken life. Rin's individuality and the scars she randomly reveals catch Nayoko and the school's attention. They realize that this little girl is suffering abuse from her mother, and after several twists and turns, Nayoko's maternal instincts are awakened. She decides to 'kidnap' Rin and take on the responsibility of being a mother.
