In the autumn of 1941, during the stage of Japanese forces expanding in China, a new guerrilla group of the New Fourth Army became active in the Siming Mountain area of Eastern Zhejiang. Ye Shanying was the leader of the stretcher team in the guerrilla group. However, with her spirited nature, she only dreamed of becoming a soldier in uniform for the New Fourth Army. Growing amidst the flames of war, Ye Shanying collaborated to complete various tasks, transforming from a reckless and stubborn stretcher team leader into a calm and decisive squad leader.
