In a remote mountain village in South Korea, although life here is not affluent, it has long been peaceful and worry-free, and the people seem oblivious to the approaching danger. Until one night, a murder incident suddenly shatters the tranquility. The village police officer, Jong-kyu (played by Go Doo-shim), quickly rushes to the scene with his colleagues to investigate. He preliminarily concludes that this is a severe murder case, but the locals privately speculate that a Japanese man (played by Kunimura Jun) who appeared in the woods by the village is the primary suspect. This Japanese man is believed to possess some kind of sorcery, using wicked means to curse people to death. Following this, a series of bizarre yet interconnected deaths occur, putting even Jong-kyu's daughter in danger. In despair, Jong-kyu is forced to seek help from a shaman (played by Hwang Jung-min) to lift the terrible curse hanging over the villagers and his daughter...
