Intro： Kamen Rider KuugaIn the year 2000. On Mount Kurodake in Nagano, excavation work was underway on a mysterious ruin, where an ancient corpse wearing a petrified belt was hidden within a coffin. Unbeknownst to them, when the investigation team opened the coffin, they also awakened its arch-enemy, 'Golangki.' The investigation team was immediately attacked by an unidentified life form and all perished. Meanwhile, in front of Nagano Prefectural Police officer Kaoru Ichijo, who was investigating the case of the murdered investigation team at the ruin site, a young man suddenly intruded. The young man, whom Ichijo stopped, claimed to be adventurer Yusuke Godai. The resurrected unidentified life form appeared in the suburbs of Nagano and began attacking people, even storming into the police station. Yusuke sensed a warrior image emanating from the belt-shaped artifact excavated from the ruin and kept safe by the police. Following the belt's call and his instincts as an adventurer, he strapped it around his waist. Yusuke's body became enveloped in enhanced muscles, and after a fierce battle, he was finally able to defeat the unidentified life form that attacked the police station. As unidentified life forms continued to appear in the big city of Tokyo, Yusuke Godai resolved to fight in order to protect the smiles of the people around him from fear... thus, the new generation Kamen Rider 'Kuga' was born!
