Intro： The Romance of the Sui and Tang DynastiesThis drama is adapted from the classic masterpiece "The Romance of Sui and Tang Dynasties." Qin Qiong (played by Yan Kuan), a famous general from the Northern Qi, grew up alongside Cheng Yaojin (played by Jiang Wu). With his exceptional martial arts skills, he was promoted to a junior official by the government. One day, Qin Qiong encountered Li Yuan being ambushed and targeted for assassination by Prince Yang Guang (played by Fu Dalong), and single-handedly saved the entire Li family. Arriving in Luzhou, he had to make a living by selling horses, fortunately receiving secret support from the compassionate tavern owner. Cheng Yaojin seized 160,000 taels of silver from Yang Lin in the Changye Forest. On the day of Qin's mother’s birthday, Cheng Yaojin was captured. To rescue Cheng Yaojin, sworn brothers from the Jialiu Tavern planned a rebellion to break him out of jail. By a twist of fate, Cheng Yaojin became the notorious leader of Wagang Village. Emperor Yang of Sui (played by Fu Dalong) went to Yangzhou to see the Qionghua flower, while Wagang Village joined forces with other rebel armies at Mount Siming, aiming to assassinate Emperor Yang and overthrow the Sui Dynasty. Li Shimin (played by Du Chun) took the opportunity to return to Taiyuan and raised troops for rebellion. Li Mi escaped to Wagang and was supported as their leader by the crowd. Li Shimin, while scouting Wagang Village at night, was captured by Cheng Yaojin.
