Intro： Kamen Rider KuugaIn the year 2000. On Mount Kurodake in Nagano, excavation work was underway on a mysterious ruin, where an ancient corpse wearing a petrified belt was hidden within a coffin. Unbeknownst to them, upon opening the coffin, the investigation team awakened its deadly foe, 'Guranki'. The team was immediately attacked by an unidentified lifeform and all members were killed. While a Nagano Prefectural police officer, Kaoru Ichijo, was investigating the murder case of the investigation team at the site of the ruins, a young man suddenly intruded without permission. This young man, stopped by Ichijo, introduced himself as the adventurer Yusuke Godai. The revived unidentified lifeform emerged in the suburbs of Nagano and began attacking people, even charging into the police station. Yusuke sensed a warrior's presence emanating from the belt-shaped relic unearthed from the ruins and kept by the police. Compelled by the belt and his instincts as an adventurer, he equipped it around his waist. Yusuke's body was then enveloped in enhanced muscle, and transformed, he engaged in a fierce battle with the unidentified lifeform attacking the police station and ultimately defeated it. As unidentified lifeforms continued to appear in the big city of Tokyo, Yusuke Godai resolved to fight in order to protect the people around him from fear and preserve their smiles... The new generation of Kamen Rider 'Kuga' is born! In the year 2000.
