Intro： Break the codeThe play is based on the true revolutionary experiences and outstanding achievements of Cai Wei, one of the founders of the radio communication industry during the Red Army period. It tells the story of unnamed heroes engaging in the battle of deciphering and counter-deciphering radio codes against the enemy, contributing significantly to the success of the Red Army's Long March. After the April 12 counter-revolutionary coup, Cai Zegang returned to Shanghai to seek an organization. To protect his family's identity, he adopted the alias Cai Wei and met with CCP special agents Ming Song, Xia Tian, and others in a radio training class. During the process of establishing the first Red radio station, Cai Zegang's party membership was confirmed, and he officially joined the station's construction. Later, he was ordered to go with Xu Zhengye, Qu Xiangdong, and others to set up a radio station in the Eyu-Wan Soviet area. Upon arriving there, Cai Wei utilized his radio expertise to help establish the first radio station for the Red Fourth Front Army alongside Xu Zhengye and Qu Xiangdong, and he also trained a group of radio talent. Once the radio station was operational, Cai Wei was not satisfied that it could only be used to send and receive messages; he started pondering the mission of listening in on enemy military intelligence. Using his knowledge and understanding of the enemy's Huang Jibi, he successfully deciphered the Kuomintang's codes time and time again, gaining timely insights into enemy troop movements and providing strong intelligence support for the Red Army's victory against enemy forces in the Soviet area. Just as the Long March was approaching a victorious conclusion, Cai Wei sacrificed his precious life at the age of 29 due to excessive fatigue in a small town on the border of Gansu.
