Director:Mel Gibson

Actor:Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Vince Vaughn, Hugo Weaving, Luke Breesy

Intro: Hacksaw Ridge (Mandarin Version)In 1945, as World War II was nearing its end, Japan, a significant member of the Axis powers, found its aggressive posture in its last throes. That year marked the beginning of the pivotal Battle of Okinawa, where thousands of spirited American soldiers were dispatched, only to face the heavily fortified and perilous terrain of Hacksaw Ridge. Among them was a medic who refused to bear arms. His name was Desmond Doss (played by Andrew Garfield), hailing from Virginia, USA. At the outbreak of the Pacific War, the frail Desmond volunteered to serve as a medic to save lives. However, due to his childhood experiences and family background, he was adamant about not holding a firearm, even willing to face a court martial for refusing to bear arms. After numerous challenges, Desmond finally arrived at Hacksaw Ridge with his comrades. Amid the gunfire, countless soldiers fell around him. With faith and conviction as his guides, Desmond single-handedly saved dozens of lives on the brink of death.
