The disadvantaged North, in its struggle to defeat the South, resorted to a forbidden technology. This technology transformed humans into monstrous soldiers, trading their human forms for god-like power. This power ended years of conflict, ushering in an era of peace. The "Mock God Soldiers" became hailed as the "gods" and heroes of the nation. Time passed, and war became a part of history; those who became the "Mock God Soldiers" were feared and scorned by people, referred to as "beasts" due to their overwhelming power. The former leader of the Mock God Soldier unit, Hank, transformed into a "Beast Hunter" who kills his fallen comrades-turned-beasts, continues traveling. In his journey, Hank meets a girl named Sharl, who seeks vengeance against the one who killed her father, a Mock God Soldier. She decides to travel with him to uncover the truth behind her father's death. Along the way, they learn about the true reasons behind the ongoing war, as well as the existence of the "man who unleashed the beasts" that Hank is searching for. Burdened with the guilt of his comrades' deaths, where will Hank's continuous journey ultimately lead him?
