Intro： Kitchen FateRenowned chef Liang Shikuan, living in Hong Kong, had a dispute with his foreign daughter-in-law and, after a fierce argument, left in anger. He returned to the mainland alone, hoping to find his long-lost mentor, Cai Laogen, to retrieve the culinary treasure "Silver Chopsticks" that he had stolen, in order to resolve his grievances. At Qianlin Temple, Liang Shikuan unexpectedly met a bright and clever young man named "Yibo". As they became close friends across generations, Liang Shikuan learned about Yibo's background and decided to take him as a disciple to teach him culinary skills, while also hoping to help Yibo find his family. Thus, the grandfather and grandson embarked on a journey... Meanwhile, Cai Laogen's gluttonous disciple lied about knowing Cai Laogen's whereabouts to trick the two into Chengdu, partnering with the bumbling thief Cheng Laoda and the bandit Ji to try and harm them. However, they were repeatedly mocked by Yibo. Female tour guide Huo Xiaolan had a quarrel with her boyfriend over differing opinions and they parted on bad terms. Feeling angry, Huo Xiaolan accepted Liang Haotian's commission to go to Chengdu to protect the elderly man, while her boyfriend Han Qing flew to South Korea alone...
