Intro： Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3"Star Trek: The Next Generation" (abbreviated as TNG) is the second series in the Star Trek franchise, translated in Taiwan as "Galaxy Dragon." To this day, the only consistent element is the ship's registry number; subsequent ships may bear the same name but will not share the same number. The captain of the Enterprise D is Jean-Luc Picard, and the first officer is William Riker. Producer Gene Roddenberry wanted a female security officer to represent gender equality in the future, leading to the creation of Tasha Yar's character, who was later joined by two more female characters: counselor Deanna Troi and medical officer Beverly Crusher, as well as a genius teenager, Wesley Crusher. To honor the well-known blind Star Trek fan George La Forge, who passed away in 1975, Gene Roddenberry created the blind character Geordi La Forge.
