Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3|SYSNOPSIS

Director:Gene Roddenberry

Actor:Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Joseph Cannon

Intro: Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 3"Star Trek: The Next Generation" (abbreviated as TNG) is the second series in the Star Trek franchise, translated in Taiwan as "Galaxy Dragon." It aired seven seasons from 1987 to 1994. The series tells the story of adventures in space as Captain Picard leads the starship Enterprise D in the 24th century, eighty years after "Star Trek: The Original Series" (abbreviated as TOS). Each episode begins with a narration: "Space, the final frontier, these are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before." This narration is quite similar to that of the original series, but it replaces "man" with "one" to better emphasize the diversity of species in the galaxy; it refers not just to Earth humans. In the fourth film, "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," the Enterprise A (NCC-1701-A) appears, and the NCC number for TNG's Enterprise was changed to the now-familiar NCC-1701-D. To this day, the only consistent element is the ship's registry number; subsequent ships may bear the same name but will not share the same number. The captain of the Enterprise D is Jean-Luc Picard, and the first officer is William Riker. Producer Gene Roddenberry wanted a female security officer to represent gender equality in the future, leading to the creation of Tasha Yar's character, who was later joined by two more female characters: counselor Deanna Troi and medical officer Beverly Crusher, as well as a genius teenager, Wesley Crusher. To honor the well-known blind Star Trek fan George La Forge, who passed away in 1975, Gene Roddenberry created the blind character Geordi La Forge. Next is the character Data, a synthetic life form and the ship's science officer. Finally, Worf, a Klingon, joins the United Federation of Planets, representing the former enemy turned ally, making his role significant during the Cold War era.
