In the conversation, Noodles asked about Max's sister Deborah (played by Elizabeth McGovern), discovering that she had become a famous actress. In their youth, they had mutual feelings, but Deborah (played by Jennifer Connelly) had her ambitions and pragmatically kept street thug Noodles (played by Scott Tiler) at a distance. Noodles found a key in the cemetery and used it to open the storage locker where he had hidden the suitcase back then. This time, the suitcase was full of hundred-dollar bills, along with a note that read 'advance for the next job'...
