Six missing astronauts attempt to escape from this supposedly dead planet. After waking up on the forest-covered planet of Ansemusa, the team's new member Caleb (played by Antony Nikolchev) cannot remember how or why he landed on this planet, which was covered in dry sand prior to his arrival. He encounters a group of colonists led by Hunter (played by Veronica Wiley), who have also faced the same issues but have not yet found a way out. Worse yet, their mission commander Victor (played by Eric Roberts) is missing, appearing before the team in a disembodied floating head, speaking in mysterious riddles and phrases. The team believes Victor may have found a way out, so they search for a 'door'—an image that appears to them during meditation. Caleb learns to meditate, using this skill to track Victor's whereabouts; Victor speaks to the team from an unknown place, where there is a mysterious 'door.' When the team catches up with Victor, they discover that what they find is more than just a way out.
