Single father Terry Bernard (played by Josh Lucas) is raising his lovely daughter Angela (Beatrice Miller) on his own. He is in love with his daughter's doctor, Elizabeth (Lena Headey), and everything seems to be heading in a positive direction. However, continuous hallucinations fill him with anxiety. Previously, Terry underwent a heart transplant surgery, after which the hallucinations began to plague him. He accidentally learns that the heart donor was named Jean Vieillard, a 55-year-old man who died from a severe head injury. Through the hallucinations in his mind and the records on the donation register, he finds a man named Kevin (Jamie Harrold), and from their conversation, Terry subtly senses that there may be a hidden secret surrounding the donation process.
